Doris founded the school in 1953 in Loughton, Essex. She was an ex-professional dancer and trained many stars of stage, screen and television. Her Daughter Janice was one of her first pupils! Doris took a keen interest in the school, attending the shows and making presentations.

Trained at Tring Park School, and London College Of Dance and Drama, gaining a Teachers Diploma. Janice is a Fellow and Examiner of the IDTA, an Adjudicator of All England Dance, and The British Federation Of Festivals for Music & Dance.
